Community Contributions
The Leelanau Historical Society has been actively collecting Sugar Loaf history for the past 5 years via press releases and online surveys. In the summer of 2022 the Leelanau Historical Society hosted a Discovery Day, an open house, for community members to meet museum staff, contribute Sugar Loaf memorabilia (loaned/donated and/or digital donation), and participate in oral history interviews. As items came into the museum they were put on display in a mini exhibition which has prompted even more contributions.
