On August 26th, 2019, Mark Nesbitt and Ross Satterwhite once again completed 100 holes of golf in one day as an annual fundraiser. Thank you to all who made pledges that benefit the Leelanau Historical Society.
The weather was nearly perfect with only a few rain drops but cloudy and cool. Ross’ exemplary display of golf produced 72 pars, 9 birdies with total strokes of 417 and a stroke average of 75.6. Journeyman, Mark had 61 pars, 4 birdies with total strokes of 453 and a stroke average of 81.8.
We want to thank Jim and Mary Jo Grogan and Annie and Bill Hostetler for underwriting the fun and fabulous reception at the Leland Lodge. And also the Leland Country Club for allowing Mark & Ross to utilize their facilities.
*Golfathon provides funds for educational programming and exhibits, as well as research efforts and the care of the vast array of artifacts housed in the archives. It also supports the digitization process that makes Leelanau Historical Society’s museum and its contents accessible for public research. leelanauhistory.org/archives
